Bertha A. Gerhart, 83, of Hatfield, passed away April 5, 2017.

She was the loving wife of Herbert T. Gerhart, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage.

Born Sept. 3, 1933, in North Wales, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Vollentine) Dilworth.

Mrs. Gerhart was a member of North Wales Baptist Church.

Bertha was a Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, Priscilla Chapter 64. She was a den mother for Pack 152, West Point, and was the first female commission­er of the General Nash District of Valley Forge Council. Also she was a mother advisor for Penn Valley Assembly 153 Rainbow and an Upper Gwynedd Township Lion.

Bertha had been a hairstylis­t for Concept 3 and drove a special needs school bus for North Penn School District.

Additional survivors include three children, Tom Gerhart, Hatfield, Penny Quinn (David), North Wales, and Cindy L. Koller (Michael), Atglen; six grandchild­ren; two great grandchild­ren; brother, Charles Dilworth, SC; and sister, Patricia Smith, Harleysvil­le.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, with an Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m.

A second viewing will start 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 10, at the funeral home with services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributi­ons be made in her name to North Wales Baptist Church, 136 Shearer St., North Wales, or Eastern Star Priscilla Chapter 64, 286 Cricklewoo­d Circle, Lansdale, PA 19446.
