Anais Williams’ wins in the hurdles races helped push the North Penn girls track and field to a commanding 125-25 win Wednesday against Central Bucks West in an SOL Continenta­l clash.

Williams set a meet record for the Knights in the 100 hurdles, as did the 4x100 relay and Kat Stevenson in the long jump. DOCK GOES 2-0 >> The Pioneers swept the relays and the 4x100 relay team of Austin Nice, Praise Zoegar, Nick Smith and Austin Kratz set a school record with a time of 44 seconds Tuesday in a pair of wins over Delco Christian and Faith Christian.

Also for Dock, Nick Smith won the 100; Kratz took both the long jump and 200; Ethan Schimek led a sweep of the 300 hurdles; and Ian Anderson had a solid win in the 400.

Alex Martin won all three throws for the Pioneers and broke his own school record in the shot with a 46-7.50. Stephen Scott set a school record in the 200 as did the 4x100 relay team of Chase Cole, Brendan Mills, Shamar Jenkins and Terrence Alfred. Shamar Jenkins and Stephen Scott each won three individual events and Connor McMen- iman won two for the Indians, who will be at Dowingtown West on Friday for the Whippet Invite. HAVERFORD 69, GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 45 >> Junior Kyle Garland won the 110 hurdles and the 400. Garland’s time in the 110 hurdles, though a hand time, converts to 14.34 FAT, which is currently the fastest time in the state and sets a school record (previous record: Devon Goodman, 14.42, 5/14/16).

Senior Kyle McCloskey (committed to play quarterbac­k at Villanova next fall), in his first track meet for GA, won both the high jump and long jump, in addition to finishing third in the 200 and running a leg on GA’s 4x400 relay.

GWYNEDD MERCY 6, WISSAHICKO­N 5 >> A tight match between the Trojans and the Monarchs showed surges on both sides. Wissahicko­n was down at halftime 4-2 and pulled to a 5-5 tie, but couldn’t hold on.

Gwynedd scored to go ahead with a little over six minutes to go. The Trojans worked hard, had an opportunit­y to tie the game, but came up short. Emily Vervlied had three goals, and Emily Purnell and Carolyn Wilde each had one goal. Assists came from Sam Intrieri and Kelly Dickson, with one each, and Kyra Myers made eight saves in goal.

Baseball

HATBORO-HORSHAM 11, SPRINGFIEL­D MONTCO 0 (5) >> The Hatters moved to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the SOL American Conference on Wednesday.

The 10-run rule win was the program’s first in a league game since April 18, 2013, when they beat CB West 14-2.

The Hatters were led by senior pitcher Brian Edgington, senior catcher Shaun Thomas and senior first baseman Colin Kennedy. Edgington tossed his second complete game of the year, going five innings while striking out 9 and allowing three runs and no walks.

Thomas reached base in all three of his plate appearance­s, going 2-for-2 with a hit by pitch. Kennedy went 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and two RBI’s.

The Hatters scored first in the top of the first inning. Senior catcher Shaun Thomas led off with an infield single and then courtesy runner Drew Margerum scored on Kennedy’s RBI triple. They extended the lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning when senior second baseman Eric Jester walked and advanced to third on a bunt single by junior left fielder Jake Mayson. Jester then scored on a double steal and Mayson scored on a single by Shaun Thomas.

The Hatters had a big inning in the third when they plated 8 runs.

Josiah Friesen had 12 assists for Pennridge, Cross Edwards had seven kills and five digs, and Matt McCreary had four blocks.
