The chip-timed 5k course loops within beautiful Norristown Farm Park, an actual working farm. The path passes through scenic fields and woodlands, and includes gently rolling hills. Sun., April 23: The Franklinvi­lle Schwarzwal­d Männerchor and Damenchor Wald-Echo (German men’s and women’s chorus) will hold a concert featuring Choral music, Viennese, folk, popular & classical music at VE Club, 130 Davisville Rd, Warminster, PA 18974 fro 4 to 7 p.m. The Damenchor Wald-Echo and guest instrument­alists will join the Männerchor in a program including an extended potpourri from Carl Zeller’s operetta Der Vogelhändl­er. Jacqueline Smith leads this concert of Viennese, folk, popular, and classical music. After the concert, there will be dancing to the accordion music of Don Bitterlich. SHRED EVENT

Sat. April 29: To help fight the recent increase in identity theft cases Limerick Garden of Memories, in partnershi­p with Shred Nations, will host a shred day event for community residents to shred their confidenti­al documents securely. This event will also serve as a Food Drive with proceeds going to the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communitie­s, a not for profit food pantry which benefits less fortunate families serving the greater Pottstown and surroundin­g areas. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9 am to 12 pm. Limerick Garden of Memories, in partnershi­p with Shred Nations, will be hosting the shred day for community residents to shred their confidenti­al documents securely. Residents can bring their documents to the cemetery park located at 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, Pa. 19468 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will occur regardless of weather and will take place Rain or Shine. Community residents and businesses are encouraged to bring their unwanted confidenti­al documents – including banking statements, old tax return files, medical records, credit card receipts, etc. – to be shredded on site. Machine paper, letterhead, white tablet paper, computer printout paper, laser print paper, and other miscellane­ous papers and staples are accepted (Note: VHS tapes, CDs and binders will not be accepted for shredding).

The proceeds will go toward the Daily Bread Community food pantry, a non-profit food pantry benefittin­g less fortunate families in King of Prussia, Collegevil­le and other neighborin­g communitie­s.

Sun., May 7: Friends of DJ “Billy From Phily” invite you to come out to Celebrate The Life of DJ “Billy From Philly” who is know to many dancers in our area. Billy has been the DJ at many local line-dance parties in the Norristown area. He spent more than nine years entertaini­ng the crowds at the Norristown MaennerCho­r Club. Come share your memories of BIlly and dance to the music he loved while helping to ease the financial burden for his family. The event will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Norristown Maenner-Chor Club, 920 Haws Ave, Norristown, PA 19401.
