Boys Track and Field

DOCK AT SHIPPENSBU­RG >> Dock Mennonite boys varsity track finished first at the 91st running of the Jack Roddick Shippensbu­rg High School Invitation­al Saturday.

The Pioneers took the AA team title with 95.33 points.

Junior Austin Kratz tallied wins in the long jump (22’2”), 100 meter (11.09) and 200 meter (22.37). Junior Ian Anderson won the 400 meter with a new personal best time of 51.67. Junior Isaiah Denlinger won the 2000 meter steeplecha­se in 7:24.

The 4x100 meter relay team of Austin Nice, Nick Smith, Praise Zoegar and Kratz took second place, clocking in at 44.63.

The 4x400 meter relay team of Marques Brockingto­n, Jeremy Moyer, Xander Durkeson and Anderson ran 3:39 to finish third.

In the throwing events, junior Alex Martin won the shot-put with a new school-record throw of 46’11.75.” He also threw a new school-record in the discus — 134’ 4” and took second place.
