LANSDALE >> A Lansdale couple was arrested Saturday morning after a domestic incident in which each allegedly attacked the other, according to police.

Raymond Krimmel, 61, and Katherine Carson, 52 — both of the 700 block of East Main Street — were taken into custody shortly after 6 a.m. on May 6 after borough cops responded to a report of a physical domestic in progress at their home, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Police said that upon arrival, Carson — who had a scrape on her cheek and redness on her neck — told officers that she had gotten into an argument with Krimmel and told him to leave the residence, then said that Krimmel started choking her with both hands, the affidavit says.

Krimmel, however, told cops that Carson had been drinking all night and that she had attacked him first, scratching him all over until he shoved her in the face, the affidavit indicates. Krimmel had fresh cuts and scrapes on his hands, chest, jaw and lip, police said.

Carson then started changing her story, first claiming that Krimmel’s injuries were old, then saying that she had scratched him in self-defense, according to the affidavit.

Both were arrested and charged with second-degree misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment,

Carson and Krimmel are free on $5,000 unsecured bail while awaiting June 8 preliminary hearings in the matter.
