Stevenson, North Penn blank CB South

Matt Stevenson allowed just two hits in a complete-game effort while Tyler Siddal drove in a pair of runs as North Penn shut out Central Bucks South 3-0 Thursday.

The North Penn baseball team bounced back from Wednesday’s loss to Souderton by securing a regular-season sweep of Central Bucks South with a 3-0 win over the Titans Thursday.

Tyler Siddal drove in two runs as part of a 2-for-4 day while Corey Stouffer added the other RBI on a sac fly for North Penn, which celebrated its Senior Day.

Pitcher Matt Stevenson, a senior, threw a complete game two-hitter with five strikeouts in the victory while Zack Miles stole a pair of bases. North Penn 3, CB South 0

CB WEST 8, PENNRIDGE 7 (9) >> Dan Clayton and Trevor D’Arcy both went 4-for-6 as Central Bucks West force extra innings with two runs in the top of the seventh that plated a run in the ninth for the SOL Continenta­l win Wednesday.

D’Arcy also collected three RBIs for the Bucks (5-10, 3-7 conference). Ollie Jervis went 4-for-6 with three RBIs for Pennridge (512, 3-7). CB West 8, Pennridge 7 (9)

WISSAHICKO­N 7, CHELTENHAM­1>> Trey France pitched a complete game and allowed just five hits as the Trojans rolled to a win on Wednesday.

France struck out nine and walked just one batter. Alex Tappen and Mike Schoenlebe­r each went 2-for-4 while Matt Shilling blasted a two-run home run for Wissahicko­n.

JENKINTOWN 9, CALVARY BAPTIST 1 >> Drakes senior Jameson Kolb took care of matters on the hill and at the plate in a BAL win Thursday.

Kolb struck out 10 batters in five innings of work and drove in three runs. Matthew McGettigan collected two hits and three RBI for Jenkintown, Pat Morrin struck out four in his two innings of work.

Steven Kozlowski and Gavin Lafferty each had two hits for the Drakes. Luke Faucette drove in Calvary’s lone run.

ARCHBISHOP WOOD 6, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 2 >> The Vikings took care of the visiting Crusaders in a PCL matchup Wednesday afternoon.

Wood’s Mike Ferrara and Mick Pristas each went 3-for-4 with a double with Ferrara driving in two runs. Jack Coylar picked up the win, throwing 5 2/3 innings with three strikeouts. DOCK MENNONITE 15, CHURCH FARM SCHOOL 0 >> The Pioneers only needed three innings to take care of their BAL foe, Thursday.

Justin Burkholder, Sam Gwiazdzins­ki and Andrew Walters each drove in three runs while Nolan Bolton drove in two runs and doubled for Dock, which had nine hits as a team and took advantage of seven Church Farm errors.

Softball

ARCHBISHOP WOOD 1, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 0 >> Gianna Lancellott­i’s walk-off hit handed the Vikings the PCL’s regular-season title on Thursday.

Marisa Browne pitched the shut-out win as Wood finished PCL play 11-1 and earned the top seed in the league tournament next week.

POPE JOHN PAUL II 18, GWYNEDD MERCY ACADEMY 4 >> PJP’s bats got plenty of work in during Wednesday’s nonconfere­nce win over GMA.

The Panthers belted out 15 hits while pitchers Ashley Remington and Alexandra Spindzor combined to limit the Monarchs to four hits. The score was only 9-4 before PJP put up nine runs in the top half of the seventh inning.

Girls Lacrosse

CB WEST 21, NESHAMINY 7 >> Bucks senior Bryn Boylan scored her 200th career goal as West ran away with a win on its Senior Night, Wednesday.

Boylan, a senior, led the way with seven tallies while Dani Dundas added five goals and four assists while Maddie Maio posted a hat-trick. The Bucks finished with a unbeaten SOL National record and clinched the conference championsh­ip.

CB SOUTH 18, SPRINGFIEL­D TWP. 7 >> The Spartans fell to a tough Titans team in their SOL crossover game, Thursday.

Emily Giampietro led the Spartans with three goals, three ground balls and two caused turnovers while Lindsey Smith also netted three goals and chipped in two ground balls and a caused turnover. Ellie Hamilton had four assists, a ground ball and a draw control and Rachel Harmon scored for Springfiel­d.

UPPER MERION 16, CARDINAL O’HARA 5 >> The Vikings didn’t have much trouble putting away a PCL opponent in non-league play Wednesday.

Francesca Lindelow paced the UM attack with six goals and an assist. Quinn O’Malley had a hat trick for the Vikings while Molly Weygand, Allison Shuster and Riley O’Malley each scored a pair of goals. Rella Staley had one goal for UM while Weygand had two assists and goalie Katie Frey made nine saves.
