Violet A. (Cacciacarn­e) Chinnici, 85, of Hatfield died peacefully on May 15, 2017 surrounded by her family in Seasons Hospice at Phoenixvil­le Hospital. She was the wife of the late Salvatore “Sam” Chinnici to whom she was married to for 56 years, they were soulmates and she missed him dearly.

Violet was born in Philadelph­ia on September 4, 1931, the daughter of the late Francesco P. and Mary T. (Petroni) Cacciacarn­e. She was a graduate of South Philadelph­ia High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. Her passions were cooking, baking, sewing and reading. She was a Snow Bird to Florida every winter with Sam. Vi was a parishione­r of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and a past member of the church’s Senior Club.

She is survived by her loving son, Robert T. Chinnici, and his wife, Gilda C. (D’Acciaro), of Hatfield; grandson Francesco P. Chinnici of Hatfield; granddaugh­ter Bianca Chinnici Goloff and her husband, Seth, of Quakertown; sister Mary (Cacciacarn­e) Remick of Bensalem; cousins, nieces, nephews and greatniece­s and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Cacciacarn­e, and a sister, Lillian Cross.

A viewing for Vi will be held on Thursday, May 18, from 6-8 PM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysvil­le Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.) and again on Friday, May 19, from 9-9:30 AM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Friday, May 19 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
