The primary results are in, but the field for the Souderton Area School Board remains the same.

All six candidates in the race have secured a spot on the General Election ballot based on the results of Tuesday’s primary election.

Stephany Carmody was the top vote-getter in the Democratic primary, receiving 1,118, or 30.49 percent of the total, according to unofficial results on the Montgomery County election website.

She was followed by Meghan E. Monahan, Matt Holliday and

Janet Flisak, who received 719, 702 and 657 votes, respectively.

Holliday is seeking his third term on the school board, while Flisak is wrapping up her first.

The only other candidate on the ballot, board member William Brong, garnered 467 votes.

Brong, however, was among the top four on the Republican ballot.

Holliday received the

most Republican votes with 1,232 for 21.12 percent. He will be joined on the General Election Republican ballot by Stephen Nelson, Brong and Flisak, who received 1,158, 1,126 and 975, respectively.

Monahan and Carmody rounded out the Republican voting with 693 and 637 votes, respectively.

Holliday and Flisak will appear on both side of the ballot in November.

The six candidates will compete for four available four-year terms on the Souderton Area School Board in the General Election.
