1 Annie Fay Scanlan: No thanks. If the district wants to make full-day kindergarten an option, that’s fine; however, I do not want to see it become mandatory. My kids have plenty of years ahead of them as full-time students. There is no need for them to start a year sooner. 2 Lisa Marie: Arguing against full time kindergarten because it will negatively impact elementary school students makes no sense. Make full day an option but not mandatory. Many working families need the full time option. Others don’t.
