Howard B. Spofford Jr. of Lansdale.

Howard B. Spofford Jr., 80, of Lansdale, PA, passed peacefully on June 8, 2017.

He was husband to the late Patricia A. (Suder) Spofford, who died Oct. 4, 1994.

Born July 25, 1936, in Ardsley, PA, to the late Howard and Margaret (McNeil) Spofford, Mr. Spofford graduated from Abington High School and joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a radio operator and navigator.

Upon his discharge, he worked for Philco and the Philadelphia Electric Co., from which he retired in 1994.

Moving to Lansdale in 1962 to raise his family, Howard coached both Lansdale Little League baseball and Lansdale Cannoneer football teams.

He spent many years traveling to the Poconos and loved to play golf.

He is survived by his daughter Deborah (Larson) and son Howard of Lansdale; son Jeffrey of Yardley; 10 grandchildren, Gabrielle, Michael (Deborah), Ryan (DuBois), Joshua (DuBois) Alicia, Howard, Brooke (Howard), Emily (Palmer) Olivia and Jeffrey (Jeffrey); and his brother, William, of New Mexico.

Relatives and friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 14, at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA, and to attend his Funeral Mass at noon. Burial will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery (3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA).
