Hunter Evans showed out on offense while Joe Valenti was dominant on the mound in Lansdale’s 8-5 victory over Pennridge Sunday in Buxmont American Legion action.

Hunter Evans showed out on offense while Joe Valenti was dominant on the mound in Lansdale’s 8-5 victory over Pennridge Sunday in Buxmont American Legion action.

Evans’ sixth-inning double cleared the loaded bases and gave the Cannons a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Evans also had a runscoring triple in the fifth. He finished the game 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base.

Valenti pitched six innings, allowing three runs (none earned). He struck out four and retired the side in order three times. The win is Valenti’s fourth of the season. Trevor Sliker contribute­d two hits and an RBI for Lansdale. Tyler Siddal and Christian Ozzimo each scored two runs. Valenti also had an RBI and a run scored on offense.

With the win, the Cannoneers improve to 6-5 on the season. The game was resumed Sunday
