Beulah M. Detwiler of Harleysvil­le; Stephen R. Ulrich of Lansdale.

Beulah M. “Bee” Detwiler, 97, of Harleysvil­le, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Peter Becker Community, where she had been a resident since 2010.

Born Aug. 27, 1919, in Trumbauers­ville, she was a daughter of the late Enos and Katie (Gerhart) Barndt.

From the time she was eight, she was raised like a daughter by George and Tillie Gerhart, close neighbors.

Bee was a dedicated member of various church congregati­ons throughout her life where she enjoyed teaching adult Sunday school and Bible studies. She was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Reliance Chapter 503, Souderton.

Bee was a talented seamstress. She took pride in her work and excelled in dressmakin­g and knitting. In her younger years, she loved to entertain family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and decorating.

Survivors include her children, Marjorie A. Schlosser (Dennis) of Telford, Brian R. Keller (Paulette) of Largo, FL, K. Jolene Keller of Gypsum, KS, and Louise K. Halteman (Brent) of Telford; 13 grandchild­ren; 21 great-grandchild­ren; and one great-greatgrand­daughter.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard; three brothers; and five sisters.

Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at Peter Becker Community, 800 Maple Ave., Harleysvil­le, PA 19438 followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Zion Memorial Gardens, Franconia Township. Arrangemen­ts are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Peter Becker Community for the excellent care they provided to Bee.
