Mary N. Landt, 97, of Harleysville, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the Peter Becker Community.
She was the beloved wife of the late Claude M. Landt, who died in 2004.
Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Harry M. & Alice M. (Reed) Nyce.
Mary was a graduate of Lansdale High School and Millersville University. She was a second grade teacher in the Hatfield/ North Penn School District from 1956 until 1970. Mary was also an active member of the Montgomery Baptist Church.
In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, cross stitch, reading, traveling, and gardening.
Mary cherished the many friendships she shared in her 11 years at the Peter Becker Community, where she also enjoyed playing cards, crafting, and participating in the annual flower shows.
Surviving Mary are her children, Mary Jane Mayse, of Harlyesville; James H. Landt (Linda), of Macungie; Richard Landt (Brenda), of Quakertown; her grandchildren, Craig Mayse (Kim), Brian Mayse (Jami), Amy Kregel (Scott), David Landt (Sarah), Kevin Landt (Amy), Peter Landt (Julia); and her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Luke, Eric, Brianna & Micah Mayse; Makenna, Ella & Owen Kregel; Sam, Ellie, Graham, Shiloh, Cameron & Carter Landt.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dennis Mayse; her great grandson, Tyler Mayse; and her brothers, Robert & Herbert Nyce.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Mary’s life on Friday, August 18 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel at the Peter Becker Community, 800 Maple Avenue, Harleysvile, PA 19438. Interment will be held privately in Montgomery Baptist Cemetery, Montgomeryville.
