Dorothy L. Blank of Souderton

Dorothy L. Blank, 91, of Souderton, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at her home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Russell N. Blank, with whom she had celebrated 69 years of marriage.

Born in Bedminster, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Katie (Detweiler) Leatherman.

She enjoyed keeping home for her family.

Mrs. Blank was a member of Zion Mennonite Church in Souderton.

She enjoyed humor, amusement parks, and traveling to Florida and the New Jersey Shore.

Dorothy was very active; she enjoyed bike riding and swimming. She enjoyed gardening and was fond of always trying to feed family members when they came for a visit.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Hawkins and her husband, Michael, of Telford; a daughter-inlaw, Irene Blank of Hatfield; five grandchildren, Stephani (Noah) Bass, Chad Hawkins, Keith (Beth) Blank, Christi Blank and Benjamin Hawkins; and five greatgrandchildren, Zoe, Skylar, Tyler, Jordan and Alyssa.

Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Russell; and three sisters, Blanche Detweiler, Helen Martin and Alma Leatherman.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, in Zion Mennonite Church, 149 Cherry Lane, Souderton. Interment will follow in Zion Memorial Gardens, Franconia Township. Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
