Where was the patriotism of the right when a draft-dodger attacked a Vietnam War hero who spent five years as a POW and belittled him for “getting captured”?

Where was it when he attacked a Gold Star family?

Where is it as he flippantly supports nuclear war that will inevitably lead to more suffering veterans, more service member deaths, and more families mourning the loss of their loved ones?

Where is it today, after he displayed a complete lack of empathy to the widow and family of a fallen soldier?

What kind of patriot gets angry at their fellow American citizens for exercising their First Amendment right, but doesn’t get angry when their president threatens that right, and attacks, insults, and disrespects actual veterans and their families?

What kind of patriot, when faced with these facts, would rather continue supporting a lying, psychologically imbalanced, perverted, and completely inept president who is destroying the country they claim to love, than admit they were wrong about him?

What kind of selfish, twisted, hypocritical, destructive patriotism is that?

If you still support Trump, it is well past the time to admit that you took your irrational hate for Obama and Hillary and reacted with a protest vote that is going horribly wrong. People voted for Obama out of hope, you voted for Trump out of hate and anger. Every disgraceful thing that comes of it lies with you.
