DON’T MISS >> “The Walking Dead” — As Season 8 of the zombie sensation begins, it’s time for all-out war. With the support of the Hilltop and Kingdom, Rick Grimes and his fellow survivors are finally ready to stand up to Negan’s ruthless forces. So it seems that things are about to get bloody brutal. There will be casualties, of course, but perhaps the Saviors’ grip on this world may finally be coming to an end. The season opener is also the series’ landmark 100th episode. 9 p.m. Sunday, AMC.

FRIDAY >> Funny how TV works. As a new season of “Blindspot” begins, it has been 18 months since the FBI team parted ways under mysterious circumstan­ces. Now, the show hits the “reset” button and the unit is brought back together by a new crisis. 8 p.m., NBC.

FRIDAY >> “Michael Jackson’s Halloween” is a new animated special that uses Jackson’s pop hits as its soundtrack. The story follows two millennial­s (voiced by Lucas Till and Kiersey Clemons), who meet “accidental­ly” on Halloween night and find themselves, along with Ichabod the dog, at a mysterious hotel. 8 p.m., CBS.

SATURDAY >> The new TV film “Flint” recalls the crisis that shook a nation, and explores how local whistleblo­wers exposed the truth about the toxic waste flowing through the town’s water supply. The cast includes Betsy Brandt, Marin Ireland, Jill Scott and Queen Latifah. 8 p.m., Lifetime.
