Earl S. Shaw of Douglassville.
Earl S. Shaw, 91, of Douglassville, formerly of Bechtelsville, widower of Dympna M. (Donnelly) Shaw, passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health.
Born in Atlantic City, NJ, he was the son of Mary (Stockton) and Earl Shaw.
He served in the Navy during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, where he was an electrician on the USS Proteus.
Earl worked as an electrician for Otis Elevators in Philadelphia, Central Panel and lastly working for Mead Packing, retiring in 1991.
He was a devoted family man and always was eager to lend his talents to his family and friends.
Surviving are one son, Alan J. Shaw, husband of Pamela; two daughters, Lynda A., wife of Richard M. Hiltner, and Stacey M., wife of William E. Romano; eight grandsons and two great-grandsons.
He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Dympna; one brother, Harry S. Shaw; and two sisters, Erma Shaw and Lillian Shaw.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine St., Bally, PA. A viewing will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery.
