Earl S. Shaw, 91, of Douglassvi­lle, formerly of Bechtelsvi­lle, widower of Dympna M. (Donnelly) Shaw, passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health.

Born in Atlantic City, NJ, he was the son of Mary (Stockton) and Earl Shaw.

He served in the Navy during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, where he was an electricia­n on the USS Proteus.

Earl worked as an electricia­n for Otis Elevators in Philadelph­ia, Central Panel and lastly working for Mead Packing, retiring in 1991.

He was a devoted family man and always was eager to lend his talents to his family and friends.

Surviving are one son, Alan J. Shaw, husband of Pamela; two daughters, Lynda A., wife of Richard M. Hiltner, and Stacey M., wife of William E. Romano; eight grandsons and two great-grandsons.

He was predecease­d by his wife of 50 years, Dympna; one brother, Harry S. Shaw; and two sisters, Erma Shaw and Lillian Shaw.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine St., Bally, PA. A viewing will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributi­ons may be made in his memory to Most Blessed Sacrament Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box C, Bally, PA 19503.
