Jack W. Godshall of Harleysvil­le.

Jack W. Godshall, 66, of Harleysvil­le, PA, passed peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Sellersvil­le, PA to the late Howard Clemmer Godshall and Lillian Ritter Godshall, Jack was a lifelong resident of Harleysvil­le graduating from Souderton High School in 1969.

After enlisting in the U.S. Army and serving in Vietnam, he received his pilot flight training in Greeley, Colorado.

He started his career as a flight instructor at Reading Airport, Reading, PA. Later in his career, he flew for numerous airline carriers including Pan Am, TWA, Ransome Airlines, ATA, World Airlines and Express Jet, retiring in 2016.

Jack’s passion in life was flying but cherished his family above all. He was the most loving and caring son, brother, uncle and friend. Jack was an avid sportsman and NASCAR enthusiast.

He was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church, Kulpsville, PA, where he served as an usher.

He is survived by his siblings, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at 10 a.m. Nov. 1, at Christ Lutheran Church, 2211 Mainland Road, Kulpsville, PA, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery accompanie­d by a full military honor guard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Souderton Mennonite Home, 207 W. Summit St., Souderton, PA 18964 or the Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersvil­le, PA 18960.
