Craig Troxel, 68, of Souderton, died October 26, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne (Breen) Troxel, his wife of 24 years.

Born August 1, 1949 in Lansdale, he was a son of the late Jonas and Leona (White) Troxel.

Mr. Troxel was employed as an HVAC mechanic with Merck for over 30 years, retiring in 2007. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served his country honorably during the Vietnam War.

Craig was a dedicated volunteer with many local organizati­ons, including Keystone Opportunit­y Center, North Montco Technical Career Center, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #349 (Norristown), and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 25 (Collegevil­le). He enjoyed making two trips to Vietnam with Habitat for Humanity, and he also volunteere­d his time to help rebuild Zwingli UCC (Souderton) after its fire in 2008.

In addition to all of his volunteer efforts, Craig was an avid golfer and a member of Perkiomen Lodge #595 F&AM.

Craig is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Kelly Pulcini (Camillo) of Reading, Brad Hamilton (Kelly) of Gwynedd, Bryan Sohoski of Horsham, and Jennifer Sypeck (Frank “Buddy”) of Marietta, GA; five grandchild­ren; three great-grandchild­ren; brother, Willard Troxel (Anita) of Lansdale; and sister Sharon Manzo of Boyertown.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan; and sister.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, North Wales.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributi­ons be made in Craig’s memory to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 25, PO Box 76, Creamery, PA 19430.
