Bruce D. Blythe of Lansdale.
Bruce D. Blythe, 81, of Lansdale, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017, in Doylestown Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Carol (Pedrick) Blythe, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Walter & Marian (Lachenmann) Blythe.
Bruce was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed with Unisys as a service technician, retiring after 32 years. Outside of work, he enjoyed traveling with his family and possessed an extensive love and knowledge of automobiles, ranging from antique to modern. Most of all, Bruce was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles.
Surviving Bruce, in addition to his wife, Carol, are his children Carol Gottshall (Todd) of Dunedin, FL, Donna Dixon (Edward) of Pittsburgh and Bruce Blythe (Cori) of Abington; 14 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas Blythe; and his brothers, Walter & Thomas Blythe.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, December 2 after 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446, and are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bruce may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church at the address above.
