Fire chief urges Gov. Wolf to keep renovation project in RACP funding

-

It has come to the attention of the North Penn Volunteer Fire Company (NPVFC) that funding for a renovation project is at risk of not being signed by Governor Wolf.

These funds are the foundation of a major renovation at the North Penn Volunteer Fire Company, an essential project that addresses turn of the century structural and electrical issues and that has been the subject of fundraising efforts for over 20 years.

As Chief of the NPVFC, I’d like to express how important this renovation project is for us to more effectively serve the borough and surrounding communities, and as a father, how small of a price this is to ask when compared to the safety of our community now and in the future.

This project is not a ‘something nice for the community’ project, this is a project to support an organization that responds to over 1,000 medical and fire emergency calls for North Wales Borough, Lower Gwynedd, Upper Gwynedd, Montgomery and Whitpain townships.

We are asking Governor Wolf to include our project in the RACP funding, and encourage you to urge the governor to keep the North Penn Volunteer Fire Company project included in the funding and ensure a safe North Wales community via the contact page on his website or by sending a letter to his office.
