Valentine earned a total of 27 merit badges, which qualified him for a Bronze Palm Award in addition to the Eagle rank. Valentine’s leadership positions in the troop included librarian, assistant instructor and lead instructor. For his Eagle Project, which took more than 140 work hours, Valentine led a group in cleaning and painting the interior of a non-profit cat adoption center. The project also included attaching custom cat boxes to the walls of one of the rooms so that cats could play while being observed by potential adopters. Valentine is a junior at Wissahickon High School.
Connor Waite earned a total of 35 merit badges, which qualified him for Bronze and Silver Palms in addition to the Eagle rank. Waite has held numerous leadership positions with the Troop including chaplain aide, assistant instructor, lead instructor and patrol leader.
