Joseph Edward Bintner of Lederach; David A. Krum of Souderton; Renee Miller of Spring City; Robert H. Pappentick of Lansdale.

Joseph Edward Bintner of Lederach, PA, died at the age of 72 of stage 4 lung cancer on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Joseph was born on July 6, 1945 in Lansdale, PA. He was the son of the late Walter Bintner, Sr., and Helen (Alexander) Bintner Erb, Stepson of Samuel Erb.

Joseph was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and proud Patriot to his country. He worked at a family business, Jay Bee Builders, and then retired from Merck Pharmaceuticals in West Point, PA. He was also a graduate of the Lansdale School of Business, as well as a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was very active in his community and church.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen (Kunz) Bintne; father of Joseph Bintner Jr. (Veronica), Rebecca (Bintner) Brown (Chris), Rachael (Bintner) Wilson (Matthew), John Bintner, Matthew Bintner and deceased baby Joseph Mary Bintner. Joseph will be sorely missed by his devoted family and an abundance of friends. Grandfather of Brianna Bintner, Isabella Bintner, Angelina Bintner-Ramirez, Gisele Ramirez, Sadie Brown, Chloe Bintner, Declan Brown, Olivia Wilson, Eva Bintner. Step-grandchildren: Christopher Allen and Brandon Allen. Brother of George Bintner, Marie Kelly, Ann Reynolds, Trudi Long.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Bintner Jr., James “Jimmy”Bintner, John “Jack” Bintner and Baby Helen Bintner and fatherin-law Gerald Kunz.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial on Monday, January 15 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary RC Church, 40 Spring Mount Road, Schwenksville, PA, 19473. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 10 until 11:15 a.m. Int. Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine, 654 Ferry Rd., Doylestown, PA 18901. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to St. Vincent de Paul Society, C/O St. Mary Church, 40 Spring Mount Road, Schwenksville, PA 19473 along with Mass Cards and prayers.
