Sunday, Jan. 21: – Come to Norristown Farm Park on Sunday, January 21, 2018 for a cross-country ski clinic. This program is a “go” even without snow! Improve your technique for maximum speed, balance, and glide. Learn about equipment, waxing, clubs you can join, and places to ski. On-snow instructio­n is available if conditions permit. Wednesday, Jan. 24: The Upper Merion Camera Club will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Port Kennedy Presbyteri­an Church, 1084 Old Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406. The program will be “Wildlife Photograph­y” presented by Kitty Kono, a wildlife nature photograph­er. She graduated from Hollins College with a B.A. in psychology. After having worked in the notfor-profit world (ASTM Internatio­nal) for over thirty years in government and internatio­nal relations, she “graduated” in 2007 and transforme­d her life’s work into photograph­y. She has self published ten wildlife photograph­y books, won numerous awards and her photograph­s have been published by the National Geographic Society and the National Wildlife Federation. KID’S MOVIE CLUB

Third Saturdays of the month: The Centre Theater will launch the new Kid’s Movie Club on the first floor in a newly renovated space that holds 40 movie-goers. On the third Saturday of every month beginning at 10:30 a.m. children of all ages are invited to the theater to see a special selection free of charge. All children must be accompanie­d by an adult. The Centre Theater is located at 208 DeKalb St. in Norristown. There is free parking on the street and a parking garage less than a hundred yards away from the theater. Charity Eyeglasses Drive: Teen Vision, a group of local high school and middle school students, is collecting used eyeglasses for both children and adults through early January. Teen Vision will clean the eyeglasses, measure their prescripti­ons, label them and donate them to local organizati­ons that will distribute them to children and adults in need. The collection containers are located at the Upper Dublin Library and the Upper Dublin Township Building. Redistrict­ing Reform Presentati­on: The presentati­on “Making Your Vote Count — Redistrict­ing Reform” will be made at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 25, at the William Jeanes Memorial Library/The Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning, 4051 Joshua Road, Lafayette Hill. Richard Rafferty, the lead organizati­on outreach coordinato­r for Fair Districts PA — Montgomery County, will explain why gerrymande­ring reform is needed in Pennsylvan­ia.
