Lansdale man sentenced for trafficking in cocaine
A Lansdale man will head to jail later this month after he admitted to trafficking cocaine in the borough.
Daniel Brandon Rosado, 26, of the 500 block of West Third Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court this week to 11 ½ to 23 months in the county jail after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver cocaine in connection with incidents that occurred in April 2017. Judge Garrett D. Page ordered Rosado to report to the jail on March 12 to begin serving the sentence.
Rosado will be eligible for the jail’s work release program during his incarceration.
The judge said Rosado also must complete two years’ probation following parole, meaning Rosado will be under court supervision for a total

of about four years. Rosado also is required to complete 48 hours of community service as a condition of the sentence.
An investigation of Rosado began following “two controlled buys” of drugs on April 27, 2017, after which members of the Montgomery
County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force obtained a warrant to search Rosado’s Lansdale residence, according to a criminal complaint.
During that search, investigators seized a “large bag of cocaine with several small bags of cocaine contained within the larger bag,” which was found in Rosado’s pocket, as well as several small bags of cocaine found on a chair in
Rosado’s bedroom, according to the arrest affidavit. Authorities also seized several small bags of marijuana, according to court documents.
“In all, there were 20 individual packaged cocaine bags of varying sizes/amounts which totaled approximately eight grams,” detectives wrote in the arrest affidavit, adding the 20 individual bags of marijuana seized
contained about 40 grams of the drug. “Furthermore, based on my training, knowledge and experience, the cocaine and marijuana were packaged for individual sale to drug customers of Daniel Brandon Rosado.”
Detectives also found a box of rubber gloves on Rosado’s bedroom dresser.

by drug traffickers when packaging their products for sale due to the dangers associated with powderlike drugs being absorbed through the skin,” detectives alleged.
Authorities alleged a digital scale found in the residence was used by Rosado to weigh the drugs prior to packaging. Detectives also searched Rosado’s cellphone and found both “clear communications and
coded communications by drug customers seeking to buy controlled substances” from Rosado, according to the criminal complaint.
Other charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a communication device were dismissed against Rosado in exchange for his guilty plea to the cocaine traffickingrelated charge.
