Kenneth N. Souder, 92, of Harleysville

Kenneth N. Souder, 92, of Harleysville, died March 4, 2018 at Peter Becker Community. He was the husband of 67 years to Marilyn C. Souder who preceded him in death in 2014.

Born July 16, 1925 in Perkasie, he was the son of the late Claude P. and Agnes (Bergey) Souder. Kenneth attended Souderton Area High School and graduated in 1943.

He worked as a designer for Ford Motor Company for 36 years. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945 and the Air Force Reserves from 1949 to 1969. He was a member of the Harleysville Lions Club from the 1950’s to 1980. Kenneth was a faithful member of Zion Mennonite Church in Souderton. Kenneth loved to play cards, paint pictures and collect stamps. He will be remembered as a loving, devoted, and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be missed by his family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by two children, Sandra Heilman and her husband Philip of Harleysville, and Doug Souder and his wife Maria of Harleysville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.), where a viewing will take place from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will take place in Zion Memorial Gardens.
