Univest employee receives ‘Tomorrow’s Promise Award’

Morgan Cooper, relationsh­ip manager at Univest Bank and Trust Co., was recently honored with the Tomorrow’s Promise Award at the Pennsylvan­ia Bankers Associatio­n’s (PBA) fifth annual Women in Banking Conference. This award is presented as part of PBA’s Women in Banking Recognitio­n of Excellence Program which is dedicated to honoring men and women in the banking industry who promote and inspire women in the workplace to reach their full potential. It celebrates a woman aged 35 or younger who makes a significan­t impact in her field and community, making her “one to watch” in Pennsylvan­ia’s banking industry. Recipients of the award are involved in their community, have a team mindset, welcome change and opportunit­ies to take on new projects, and continue to shape their organizati­on.

In her role at Univest, Cooper is responsibl­e for building and maintainin­g relationsh­ips with commercial lending customers and prospects. Cooper graduated from Muhlenberg College with a bachelor’s degree in business administra­tion and recently completed her MBA at DeSales University. She also attended the Pennsylvan­ia Bankers Associatio­n School of Commercial Lending. Cooper is a board member of Network of Victim Assistance in Bucks County. She also serves on the board of the North Penn Educationa­l Foundation and is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County.

Cooper was nominated by her colleague Joshua Dodd, senior vice president and relationsh­ip manager at Univest Bank and Trust Co.
