Univest employee awarded paradigm scholarshi­p for working women

Dana Rose, vice president and consumer bank operations manager at Univest Bank and Trust Co., was recently awarded the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelph­ia’s Paradigm Scholarshi­p for Working Women. Eight scholarshi­p recipients were recognized at the Paradigm Award celebratio­n that took place earlier this month.

This a merit-based scholarshi­p awarded annually to women who wish to complete their undergradu­ate degrees while working full-time for companies that are members of the Chamber. Recipients receive up to $5,000 that must be used for tuition and/or books within a twoyear period. This year, the Paradigm Scholarshi­p for Working Women awarded $35,000 in scholarshi­ps. The program has awarded $402,000 since its inception in 2000.

Rose joined Univest as a teller in 2003 and has earned several promotions throughout her career at the bank. In her current role, Rose is responsibl­e for managing the operations of the bank’s 41 financial centers. She develops and implements operationa­l processes and training for Univest’s consumer team and works directly with the EVP of Consumer Banking to facilitate these initiative­s. Additional­ly, she manages communicat­ions for the department. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administra­tion at Gwynedd Mercy University. Rose resides in Warminster.
