Univest employee awarded paradigm scholarship for working women
Dana Rose, vice president and consumer bank operations manager at Univest Bank and Trust Co., was recently awarded the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia’s Paradigm Scholarship for Working Women. Eight scholarship recipients were recognized at the Paradigm Award celebration that took place earlier this month.
This a merit-based scholarship awarded annually to women who wish to complete their undergraduate degrees while working full-time for companies that are members of the Chamber. Recipients receive up to $5,000 that must be used for tuition and/or books within a twoyear period. This year, the Paradigm Scholarship for Working Women awarded $35,000 in scholarships. The program has awarded $402,000 since its inception in 2000.
Rose joined Univest as a teller in 2003 and has earned several promotions throughout her career at the bank. In her current role, Rose is responsible for managing the operations of the bank’s 41 financial centers. She develops and implements operational processes and training for Univest’s consumer team and works directly with the EVP of Consumer Banking to facilitate these initiatives. Additionally, she manages communications for the department. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Gwynedd Mercy University. Rose resides in Warminster.
