Wolpert’s 6 RBIs lead UD softball past Chelts

Grethcen Wolpert went 2-for-3 and collected six RBIs and the Upper Dublin softball team put up five run in third and fourth innings as the visiting Cardinals opened their season with a 14-6 SOL American win over Cheltenham in six innings Wednesday.

Ellie Kelcey was 3-for-3 with three runs scored while Korynn Bischoff went 2-for-3 and scored twice for UD (1-0, 0-1).

Morgan Gianelle hit a solo home run in the bottom of the second for Cheltenham (0-1, 0-1). Upper Dublin 14, Cheltenham 3 (6)

Neshaminy’s Brian Nicholas hit a solo home run in the fourth and finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and two run scored.
