Victor Ykoruk of Montgomery Township.

Victor Ykoruk, resident of Montgomery Township, PA, formerly of the Fairmount section of Philadelph­ia, passed away March 23, 2018, at age 73 in Abington Hospital after complicati­ons from surgery.

He was born in Fallingbos­tel, Germany, to Simon Ykoruk and Zofia (Krause), raised in Venezuela and emigrated to the US as a teen. He was happily married for 48 years to Regina (Szolna).

He is also survived by their son, Victor Michael and his wife Bridget and was a devoted Pea-Pop to twin grandsons, Ryan and Jack. He is survived by his brother, Alex (Judy) and brother-in-law, Bernard Szolna (Marie), a niece and 3 nephews.

He worked in the Tool and Die industry in research and developmen­t, recently retiring from Neptune Chemical Pump Co. His many interests included science, history and traveling with his family and friends.

He ventured yearly to Cancun and visited more than 25 countries throughout Europe and the Caribbean. Recently he became aware of the existence of relatives in the Ukraine on his paternal side. He and his wife had planned to meet and visit them this May.

His family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 6PM to 8PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until the celebratio­n of his funeral Mass at 11AM all to be held in Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446. His interment will be private at a future date.
