METHACTON 3, POPE JOHN

PAUL II 0 » Josh Dubost threw six and two thirds innings leading up to the pitch-count limit, giving up only one hit and striking out 12 to earn the victory.

Jordan Lukas earned the one-out save and added two hits offensivel­y, including a double.

The win puts the Warriors at 3-1 in the PAC and 5-1 overall. They head to Phoenixvil­le on Friday at 4 p.m.

WISSAHICKO­N 7, UPPER DUBLIN 2 » The Trojans beat Upper Dublin 7-2 Tuesday. They were led by a strong effort on the mound from Mike Gorman, who earned the win. Steve Loden had a home run and a double. Michael Steitz, Brian Menhardt, Andrew Booth, and Brian Hynes all had multiple hits. QUAKERTOWN 2, HATBOROHOR­SHAM 0 » The Hatters lost a 2-0 SOL American Conference game at Quakertown on a cold and windy Tuesday afternoon.

Quakertown scored first in the bottom of the first inning when CF Sean Brennan led off the inning with a walk, one of three issued by Hatters starter Jackson Treski in the first inning. Panthers 1B Justin Guidos then bunted Brennan over to second and 3B Dennis Pierce drove him in with a double to right field.

Treski worked around the other two walks to escape the first without any further damage. After the first inning, Treski adjusted to the conditions and was phenomenal.

The sophomore took the loss, but went 5 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs (only 1 earned) on 6 hits and 4 walks, while striking out 9, including 6 of the last 9 batters he faced.

Softball

BRISTOL 10, DOCK 0 » Dock traveled to Bristol for the first of two games in the 2018 season. McKenzie Gor- don pitched all 5 innings for Dock and deserved a better fate. Bristol scored two runs in the second and seven runs in the third. All nine of those runs were unearned. Dock collected just 2 hits, 1 by Kennedi Wells and 1 by Jocelyn Pfleiger.

UPPER MERION 10, POTTSTOWN 0 » The Vikings plated four runs in the second inning to pull away early from the Trojans, winning the PAC battle in five. Upper Merion 10, Pottstown 0

Jarrod Marenger and Ryan Rosenblum each added hat tricks for Spring-Ford.

HILL 12, BLAIR 5 » Four different players scored two goals each to lead Hill School’s balanced attack in a win over Blair Academy. BOYERTOWN 16, SPRINGFORD 5 » Cassie Marte had a hat trick for the Rams in the PAC loss.

Girls Track

The Cardinals were dominant on Tuesday, led by three first-place finishes from Madison Langley-Walker in the 100 dash, long jump and high jump. PERK VALLEY 84, SPRINGFORD 66 » The Vikings won six of the eight individual track events to gain the edge in the PAC battle.

SPRINGSIDE CHESTNUT HILL 71, GERMANTOWN ACADEMY

54» Kelsey O’Hara broke the GA school record in the 400, running 59.2 (2000).

O’Hara also ran a personal record to win the 200 in 26.7, Meaghan Toscano won the shot put with a 41-4 throw, and GA went 1-2-3 in the 1,600 thanks to Gabby Manosis (5:58), Jackie DeRusso (6:17), and Katie Sands (6:18).

Next up for the Patriots will be the Viking Invitation­al on Saturday at Perkiomen Valley High.

PERK VALLEY 75, SPRINGFORD 75 » The Vikings won this tightly-contested PAC battle, taking the secondplac­e tiebreaker 8-7.

GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 65, SPRINGSIDE CHESTNUT

HILL 52 » Kyle Garland won three events — 100 (10.9), 200 (22.4) and high jump (65.75) — and Ola Abinusawa won the shot put (50-9) and finished second in the triple jump (40-0) for the Patriots.

Also for GA, ninth grader Robert DiDonato ran 4:41 to win the 1,600, Kevin Lamb won the 110 hurdles in 15.3, Matt Sandifer won the 800 in 2:13, and freshman Daelyn Nwaobasi won the 400 in 55.9.

Boys Volleyball

NORTH PENN 3, QUAKERTOWN 2 » The Knights survived on Tuesday night with a thrilling 21-25, 25-14, 2522, 17-25 and 17-15 victory. Drew Cole led the way with four aces, 1 kill, 40 assists and 14 digs. DOCK 3, UNIONVILLE 1 » Connor Derstine was solid on defense and from serving line with 16 digs and 91.7 serving percentage, his highest of the season for Dock (5-0).
