King of Prussia District presented a donation of $21,000 Tuesday to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) King of Prussia Specialty Care & Surgery Center. Donations from this year’s dineKOP Restaurant Week and KOP Shops for CHOP were combined and presented as one donation — the largest in the four year history of dineKOP.

This year’s Restaurant Week event took place March 5 through 11 and featured a record 29 participating restaurants donating a portion of their proceeds to CHOP, according to a press release. In addition, 17 of the restaurants welcomed CHOP ambassador families to dine with them during dineKOP.

Since the creation of dineKOP, the annual event has raised $58,000 for CHOP’s King of Prussia Specialty Care & Surgery Center.

“It is truly amazing to see this community join together, year after year, to support a gem

in our backyard,” Eric T. Goldstein, King of Prussia District executive director said in the release.

“The CHOP KOP team works tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of so many children and their families in Montgomery County and across the state. We are so thankful to have them here in KOP, and proud to support the

breakthroughs that happen there every day.”

As part of the dineKOP lineup, King of Prussia District debuted KOP Shops for CHOP on Saturday, March 10, a charitable day of giving for local retailers and fast-casual restaurants that

featured 20 participating locations.

“On behalf of the King of Prussia Specialty Care Family, we extend a heartfelt thank you to the King of Prussia District for their continuous commitment in

making this event such a success,” Claire Bowers, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s King of Prussia Specialty Care & Surgery Center site manager said in the release. “Their generous contributions continue to help

make our vision of providing exceptional care to the children of this community a reality.”
