Several students “reported that during the two days Quitinsky was their teacher, he had conversations with them and several other students that were sexual in content,” an affidavit says.

A 25-year-old Milford Township man accused of having inappropriate discussions about sex and pornography with students while working as a substitute teacher at Pennridge High School waived a preliminary hearing May 3, sending charges of harassment and disorderly conduct to court, online court information shows.

At the same time, a corruption of minors charge was withdrawn, the records show.

Ryan Quitinsky was contracted through an agency as a substitute teacher in social studies classes on Jan. 12 and 16, Pennridge Regional police Detective Daryl Lewis wrote in the affidavit of probable cause in the case.

On Jan. 23, the department received information from the school that inappropriate sexual comments had been made to students during those classes, police said.

Students reported they did not do any school work during the classes and “just sat around and talked,” according to the affidavit.

Several students, including a 16-yearold female and a then-15year-old female, “reported that during the two days Quitinsky was their teacher, he had conversations with them and several other students that were sexual in content,” the affidavit said.

One of the students said while talking to friends about favorite movies, one of her friends mentioned “Avatar,” and Quitinsky asked if they have seen avatar pornography and said he preferred “girl on girl porn,” investigators said. He also talked about his girlfriend, whom he had just met, and said she wanted to have sex, but he wasn’t sure what he wanted, but said he “wouldn’t mind getting a little something,” according to the affidavit.

One of the students said she was fixing her hair at the end of class and Quitinsky came up to her and asked if she was getting ready for a date, to which she replied, “No,” and Quitinsky said, “Good because I am free,” police said. The student said her friends laughed, but she was “creeped out,” police said.

“He also asked her friends about how their older sisters looked and asked if they were hot,” the affidavit said.

Quitinsky said he carries a condom in his wallet, and when a student asked why he needed a condom in school, he replied, “You never know when a girl needs to get an ‘A,’” according to the affidavit.

Following the preliminary hearing before District Judge Lisa Gaier, Richland Township, Quitinsky is free on $25,000 unsecured bail, online court information shows.
