Robert P. Fitzgerald, 83, of Earlington

of Robert Earlington, P. Fitzgerald, PA passed 83, away peacefully with his family by his side on July 20, 2018 at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Shirley A. (nee Wenhold) Fitzgerald who preceded him in death in May of 2015, and with whom he was united in marriage on August 14, 1954. Born July 15, 1935 in Sellersville, PA. He was the son of the late Maurice and the late Stella (nee Weisenborn) Fitzgerald .

He had been employed for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Haines & Kibblehouse Company prior to his retirement. Robert was a member of the Moose Lodge #1539 of Sellersville, PA, the Owls Club of Perkasie, and also the famed Reilly Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps. Robert was an avid darts shooter and a shuffleboard player who also enjoyed riding his motorcycles, but what he really enjoyed most of all was spending time with his family and friends, and he will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, brother, and a friend to many. Robert is survived by his children, Donna Mort (Tom), of Lansdale, Robert P. Fitzgerald, Jr. (Cindy), of Mansfield, PA, Chris Fitzgerald (Tami), of Schwenksville, and Linda Nelson (John), of Hatfield, his sister, Dorothy Koffel, of Sellersville, and his eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday morning, July 26, 2018 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446 where his Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Grand View Hospital, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960, and would be deeply appreciated by his family.
