Congregation Tiferet Bet Israel: Tiferet Bet Israel Gets Reel FIlmfest 2018 continues Aug. 7 with free screenings of “The Women’s Balcony” at 10:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. in the TBI library, 1920 Skippack Pike, Whitpain. An accident during a bar mitzvah celebration leads to a gender rift in a devout Orthodox community in Jerusalem, in this tale about women speaking truth to a patriarchal power. It’s in Hebrew with English subtitles. There will be complimentary popcorn.

Lynch will speak about how to protect yourself from internet, phone and email scams. Light refreshments will be served afterwards. Highland Park Camp Meeting: The camp at 415 Highland Park Road, Sellersville, is celebrating it’s 125th anniversary with a revival through today. Highland Park Camp Meeting is also celebrating that it is now on the National Register of Historic Places. To celebrate, nationally-known musician and evangelist David Crain will present music and messages on “Hope” at 7 p.m. An open house of the “Martha’s Vineyard” type cottages will also be held. All events are free.

Zion Mennonite Church: Zion’s sixth annual Wednesday Night Races will be held Aug. 8. Registration begins at 5:50 p.m. and races begin at 6. You are invited to attend all five races, or join the ones that you can, to watch as your child gets faster and more confident. All participants will receive a ribbon at the end of their race. Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church: A school supplies drive is being held through Aug. 12. Supplies needed are pencils, pens, crayons, pencil cases, markers, highlighters, erasers, glue sticks, three-ring binders, filler paper, notebooks, folders, scissors and rulers. These will be given to children who need them to get a good start in school this fall. Stop at the GSPC Welcome Center in the narthex, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Upper Gwynedd, for more information and to receive a gift bag as a first time guest. Christ Covenant Church: During August the church at 2200 Mainland Road, Towamencin, will be supporting Shepherd’s Shelf in Kulpsville with donations of non-perishable food items. Supplies especially needed in restocking the pantry are: cereal, applesauce, canned fruits/vegetables, dried fruit and granola bars, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, peanut butter and jelly, beef stew, spaghetti sauce, chili, instant potatoes, minute rice, hamburger helper and spaghetti-o’s, mac and cheese, shampoo, body wash, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, diapers, baby wipes, detergent and paper products. St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church: Men of all ages are welcome to That Man Is You 7 to 8:30 a.m. Saturdays in the lower level of the Parish Center, Derstine and Cowpath roads, Hatfield. TMIY is a program for men organized around a central theme, and presented through the lens of seven steps. Each morning session has three components: a social gathering over breakfast refreshments, a 30-minute DVD presentation and opportunity for discussion.
