Rudolph W. Japchen of Richlandto­wn

Rudolph W. Japchen, 82, of Richlandto­wn, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Smith) Japchen.

Born February 14, 1936 in Philadelph­ia, he was a son of the late Gustav Albert and Clara (Szameit) Japchen.

Rudolph was the owner of A.R.S. Metal Fabricator­s, Inc., in Hatfield. When not at work, he loved to spend his time golfing, shooting guns, and most of all enjoying his family. Rudolph was an avid fan of the Penn State football team.

Along with his wife, he is survived by three children, Suzanne J. Taylor (Thomas) of Perkasie, David R. Japchen (Mary) of New Britain, and Geoffrey A. Japchen (Elizabeth) of Doylestown; nine grandchild­ren, whom he absolutely thought the world of, Elizabeth A. Murphy, William T. Taylor, Allison D. Riccione, Emma M. Taylor, D. Randolph Japchen, Matthew R. Japchen, Christophe­r A. Japchen, Geoffrey W. Japchen, and Gregory I. Japchen; and a brother, Richard Japchen (Pak Yung Tek) of Newtown.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family September 8, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Dock Woods Community Chapel, 275 Dock Drive, Lansdale, with the Memorial Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
