Dr. Frank J. Labate, 84, of Lansdale, died Friday, October 5, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Beverly (Rome) Labate, his wife of 60 years.

Born September 27, 1934 in Phillipsbu­rg, NJ, he was a son of the late Carmelo and Rose (Re) Labate.

Dr. Labate graduated from Palmer College of Chiropract­ic (Davenport, IA) in 1957 and began his chiropract­ic career in Lansdale in February 1959, retiring December 2008. He proudly served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Frank was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Lansdale, where he enjoyed attending church social events and was a former member of the Senior Saints Committee. He also enjoyed spending time with family, watching sports, yardwork, and flower gardening.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lori Jean Williams (Michael C.) of Lansdale, and Julie Ann Green (William) of Phoenixvil­le; three grandchild­ren, Devon, Taylor, and Brandon; his brother, Dominick Labate (Jane) of Bethlehem; and sister, Nancy Sitler of Forks Township, PA.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Labate.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 700 N. Broad St., Lansdale, PA 19446, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler. Arrangemen­ts are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributi­ons be made in Dr. Labate’s memory to First Baptist Church, address above.
