North Penn ties up CB South on Senior Night

NORTH PENN 1, CB SOUTH 1 >> North Penn’s Kristin Varilla scored the lone goal of the game for the Knights on Senior Night. NP’s six seniors Emily Crawford, Varilla, Meghan Daniels, Cheyenne Cravener, Madison Stotler and Amberly Christians­en led the way for the Knights (6-9-1, 4-6-1).

OWEN J. ROBERTS 2, METHACTON 0 >> Molly Frey made three saves in net but the Warriors drop the PAC Liberty contest on Friday.

WISSAHICKO­N 2, CR NORTH 0>> Grace Ball picked up a goal and an assist as the Trojans won the nonconfere­nce game on Friday. UPPER DUBLIN 3, WISSAHICKO­N 2 (OT) >> Emma Kate Powell scored off a penalty stroke in overtime to give the Cardinals the win.

Hannah Havrilla had a pair of goals for the Trojans.

CB EAST 3, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 0 >> Mary Kate Kearney made seven saves in net but Carroll dropped the nonconfere­nce game on Friday.

NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 3, ANC 2>> Chakra Wade scored two goals but the Lions dropped the contest on Friday.

Girls Volleyball

PW 3, SOUDERTON 0 >> Aja Smith had five aces, six kills and 10 digs as the Colonials swept past the Indians on Friday, 25-17, 25-17 and 25-17.

CR NORTH 3, CB WEST 2 >> Amanda Mass had 19 kills and 2 blocks but the Bucks dropped the match in five sets on Friday. NORTH PENN 3, PENNRIDGE 2>> Morgan Patterson and Natalie Wernley both collected 12 kills as North Penn rallied for a fiveset SOL American victory Thursday.

Emily Cooper had 12 assists, five aces and five digs while Francesca Dolan made 18 digs for the Knights, who took the fifth set 15-12.

SOUDERTON 3, DOCK MENNONITE 0 >> Maya Hanson had 21 assists 11 digs, a kill and an ace while Bella Mazzeo finished with 17 digs and an ace as Souderton swept Dock Mennonite for a nonleague win Thursday. MOORESTOWN (N.J.) 3, GA 0 >> Natalie Schildt and Mackenzie Smith led Germantown Academy with three kills each as the Patriots (48, 1-4 Inter-Ac) lost Thursday’s non-league match.

GA3,EA1>> The Patriots (83-1, 4-11) got two goals from Sophie Towne and won the Inter-AC contest on Friday.

Girls Tennis

PAC DOUBLES >> Both Methacton’s doubles teams coasted into the semifinals, which will continue Saturday. Dina Nouaime and Tina Prince got a bye into the second round and then lost five games in two matches. Anna Ryu/Angie Kuang only lost eight games in their two matches.

CARDINAL O’HARA 3, LC 2 >> Lansdale Catholic swept doubles — the teams of Hannah Radi and Becca Tiley and Emily Handschuh and Katie Duffy earning straight-set victories — but Cardinal O’Hara took all three singles matches to win the Philadelph­ia Catholic League championsh­ip Thursday at Legacy Tennis Center in Philadelph­ia.

Lansdale Catholic plays for its second-straight District 12-2A title Thursday at Lincoln.

Boys Soccer

PENNRIDGE 3, SOUDERTON 0 >> Jack Taplett and Marco Grenda both finished with a goal and an assist as Pennridge picked up an SOL Continenta­l shutout victory Thursday.

Nick Dunn also added a goal for the Rams (11-31, 6-3-1), who have won two straight and five of their last six. Souderton fell to 2-11-1 (2-7-1).

Boys Water Polo

HAVERFORD SCHOOL 11, GA 8 >> The Patriots were dealt their first league loss thanks in large part to a 4-1 first quarter burst from the host Fords. GA was able to play even the rest of the way, but never able to bridge the gap. Justin Stokes played another outstandin­g game in goal, stopping 12 shots.

SOUDERTON 13, PENNRIDGE 10 >> Pennridge got four goals from Ethan Lionetti while Greg Bashaar netted a hat trick but Souderton came away with a win over the Rams Thursday.

Girls Water Polo

PENN CHARTER 13, GA 7 >> The Patriots lost the InterAC game despite five goals from Emily Morrissey.

PENNRIDGE 12, SOUDERTON 7 >> Reese Trauger paced Pennridge with six goals while Emily Eckelmeyer found the back of the net three times as the Rams topped Souderton Thursday.

WISSAHICKO­N 12, SPRINGFIEL­D (M) 5 >> Becca Valentine had four goals, Laila Kennedy added four assists and two steals and Wissahicko­n claimed a victory over Springfiel­d Thursday.

Anna Alberti and Ashley Radell both scored twice for the Trojans (15-4) while goalkeeper Paige Benning made nine saves.

Girls soccer

SOUDERTON 1, BOYERTOWN 0>> Campbell Power scored off a feed from Taylor Yoder in the final 15 minutes of the contest as the Indians survived the nonconfere­nce affair on Friday. GMA 4, MOUNT ST. JOE’S 1 >> Sam Berish scored three goals as GMA won big on Friday.
