Philip F. Diliberto, 92, of Lansdale, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Julia (DiGiovanni) Diliberto. The couple celebrated 70 years of marriage on September 18, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.

Born June 3, 1926 in Norristown, he was a son of the late Mario and Maria Diliberto.

Since 1951, Mr. Diliberto proudly owned and operated the former Phil’s Shell Service, Lansdale, which continues today as Phil’s Tire and Service Center. He reported to work every day until his recent illness.

A proud veteran of the US Navy, he served his country honorably during World War II.

Phil was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed golfing until the age of 92 and was a longtime member of Indian Valley Country Club. A friend to everyone he met, he will be remembered for his dedication to his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Geraldine “Gerri” Smith (Louis J.) of Lansdale, Philip M. Diliberto (Rhonda) of Lansdale, and Diane E. Bell (James M.) of Hatfield; six grandchild­ren, Dara Connelly (Joseph), Julie Furru (Brian), Candice Kovacs (Lester), David P. Diliberto, Michael Bell, and Jeffrey Bell; and three great-grandchild­ren, Vinny, Aubrey, and Aiden.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles; and six sisters, Sadie, Phyllis, Minnie, Sally, Marie, and Rose.

A visitation will be held between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale. A second viewing will be held between 9:00 and 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral before processing to St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, for the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.
