Talking interfaith

Bethlehem Baptist Church: According to an email from Congregati­on Beth Or, Rev. Charles Quann has invited members of Beth Or to attend the 9:30 a.m. worship service Nov. 4 at the church in Spring House to be “lifted up in prayer and love” in the aftermath of the Oct. 27 synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh.

For interfaith families

Congregati­on Beth Or: “The Pros, Cons & Dilemmas of Raising Children in an Interfaith Family” is for young interfaith families looking to connect with establishe­d Beth Or interfaith families. Learn about their experience­s successful­ly raising their children, from babies into adulthood, as an interfaith family from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Nov. 5. All Saints Day

Music notes

Plains Mennonite Church: All are invited to “Songs and Stories of Peace, Hope and Justice,” led by Tony Brown at the 10:15 a.m. worship service Nov. 4 at Plains, 50 W. Orvilla Road, Hatfield. This program will be performed with pianist Dorothy Heebner. Brown will join the Salford Choir to perform spirituals and other songs at 7 p.m. Sunday night at Salford Mennonite Church, which is on Groff’s Mill Road, Lower Salford. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church: The church at 211 S. Main St., North Wales, will celebrate Holy Communion at 8:30 and 10 a.m. Nov. 4. The St. Peter’s Belles will provide special music at the early service. Also, First Holy Communion for fourth-grade students will be celebrated during the second service with a liturgical dance.

Congregati­on Beth Or: An American Red Cross blood drive is held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the synagogue at 239 Welsh Road, Upper Dublin. Register for a time slot at www.bethor.org. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church: St. Peter’s annual Food Drive for Manna on Main Street is taking place through Nov. 25. Donations of non-perishable food and gravy may be brought to church at 211 S. Christ Covenant Church: During November the church at 2200 Mainland Road, Towamencin, will be supporting Lamb Foundation’s Cornucopia Cupboard with donations of the following items: canned fruit and vegetables, canned beans, peanut butter, jelly, 100 percent fruit juice, pasta and pasta sauce, rice, canned tuna and salmon, disposable razors, deodorant, bar soap, shampoo, bleach, laundry detergent, fabric softeners, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies.
