Francis A. Miller Jr., formerly of Kulpsville
Francis A. Miller Jr., formerly of Kulpsville, passed away peacefully February 12, 2019, at the Lutheran Community at Telford. He was the loving husband of the late Bertha J. (Wheat) Miller who died December 1, 2006. Francis and Bertha were married September 27, 1947 and spent 59 wonderful years of married life together.
Born February 26, 1927, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Francis A. and Ella Pauline (Stringer) Miller.
Mr. Miller was a State Farm Insurance Agent, retiring after 31 years of service. Fran was a Past President and life member of Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company. Additionally, he was a member of the Union Historical Fire Society and the Delaware Valley Chapter Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Motorized Fire Apparatus in America. He thoroughly enjoyed his involvement with these organizations and had a passion for collecting Antique Fire Apparatus. He also loved traveling with his wife, Bertha, to various areas throughout the world. Fran also took the entire family on many vacations they appreciated as a family, visiting many popular sites and destinations.
His survivors include two sons, Francis A. Miller III (Marti), of Midlothian, VA, and David H. Miller (Sherry), of Lillington, NC; grandson, Brian H. Miller, of Raleigh, NC; his very close friend, Carolyn Lare and his long-time friend and assistant, Barb Thomas.
There will be a viewing starting 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2019, at the Lutheran Community at Telford, 12 Lutheran Home Drive, Telford, PA 18969, with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Kulpsville.
