New location for National Night Out

MONTGOMERY TWP >> There’s a new place in town for the National Night Out activities.

This year, it will be at Water Tower Square Shopping Center (near the Home Depot parking lot) at 751 Horsham Road, Lansdale, Montgomery Township said in a release. It will be held 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6.

“National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnershi­ps and neighborho­od camaraderi­e,” the release said.

This year’s attraction­s will include a DJ, dancing, games, giveaways, canine demonstrat­ions, police vehicles and fire trucks and light refreshmen­ts, the release said.

There will also be special guests from the local community, including Boy Scout pack 229; Buy Buy Baby; Chick-fil-A; Costco; Drug Addiction Resource Alliance; First Student; Home Depot; Integrate for Good; Laurel House; Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center; Montgomery County Health Department; North Wales Water; Office Max; Planet Fitness; Police & Fire Credit Union; Quakertown National Bank; Rita’s Italian Ice; Servpro; State Representa­tive Todd Stephens Office; State Senator Maria Collett’s Office; Texas Roadhouse; Univest Bank; Victim Service Center of Montgomery County; and World Market, the release said.

“National Night Out enhances the relationsh­ip between neighbors and law enforcemen­t while bringing back a true sense of community.

Furthermor­e, it provides a great opportunit­y to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstan­ces,” the organizati­on said at its natw.org website.
