Faith forum

Take a hike

Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church: The Hiking Ministry invites you to a fourmile walk on July 27. Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Upper Gwynedd. The group will drive to the Perkiomen Trail at the Spring Mount Hotel parking lot. There will be a brief devotion. Service notes

Tiferet Bet Israel: A Shabbat in the Park is held Aug. 2 in the Wentz Run Park gazebo in Whitpain. Bring your own picnic dinner. Dinner is at 5:30 p.m., followed by the service at 6. Bring your own seating.

Trinity Lutheran Church: “Church on the Lawn,” a casual, intimate, dog- and kid-friendly form of worship, is held at 6 p.m. Wednesdays through August on the front lawn facing Main Street at 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale. Bring a chair or blanket.

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church: Jazz Vespers is held the first Sunday of the month at 7 p.m. This non-traditional evening service featuring jazz music blended with prayers, a spiritual message and other elements of worship. Local musicians are encouraged to join in (arrive by 6:30). A free-will offering will be taken. The church is at 211 S. Main St., North Wales.

North Penn Church of Christ: Chamber music concerts are open to the public at 7 p.m. July 28 and 7 p.m. July 29-30 at 300 N. North Wales Road, Montgomery Township, as part of the Dali Quartet International Music Festival. Student showcase concerts are also presented at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 and 4 p.m. Aug. 3. Christ Covenant Church: During July Christ Covenant Church, 2200 Mainland Road, Towamencin, will be supporting the Lamb Foundation’s Cornucopia Cupboard with donations of non-perishable food. Items especially needed in restocking their food pantry are: canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, 100 percent juice, pasta and pasta sauce, rice, beans, instant pudding, dry cereal, canned tuna and salmon, disposable razors, deodorant, bar soap, shampoo, bleach, laundry detergent, fabric softeners, paper towels and toilet paper. Contributions may be dropped off through July 31 at the church office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 9 to noon.
