Ash Wednesday services

St. John’s United Church of Christ: The Board of Deacons at St. John’s United Church of Christ will host a pizza dinner on Ash Wednesday, February 26, at 6:30 pm in the Assembly Hall. Attendees may bring a salad or dessert to share if they wish. A worship service with Holy Communion (gluten-free bread is available) and the Imposition of Ashes will follow at 7:30 pm. Central Schwenkfel­der Church will host a communion service on the night of Ash Wednesday, February 26th, at 7:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Please join us as we prepare our hearts and minds for the season. There will be a message, music by the worship team, communion, and the symbolic placing of nails in the cross as a way to remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross—a very moving experience for those who have attended this service in the past. 2111S. Church 215-699-4604WWW. stpetersno­rthwales.org Saint Miriam Parish & Friary: Lent will feature a cross made of lifejacket­s that belonged to unknown migrants who died at sea attempting to reach the Greek Island of Lesvos. The cross will be hung inside the main entrance. The exhibit is entitled: “Lent 2020Throug­h the Eyes of the Refugee.” Saint Miriam offers two Ash Wednesday services at 12:15pm (lunch time break service) and 6:30pm (a full mass) in the sanctuary located on the corner of Bethlehem Pike and Church Road, Flourtown. Open to everyone.

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church: 211S. Main St., North Wales celebrates The Transfigur­ation with Holy Communion Services at 8:30 and 10:00AM. The choir and Men’s Ensemble will sing Shine on Us at both services. During the 10o’clock service there will be SPARK Sunday school, and a nursery for infants and toddlers. Our annual food drive runs during the months of February and March. All donations are for Manna on Main Street. Non perishable­s such as canned meats, fruits and vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, boxed meals, baby items, tea, coffee, condiments and cereal. Boxes for your donations are in the Narthex as you enter the Sanctuary. Our goal is 2020items for 2020!! The youth are fundraisin­g for the ELCA Youth Gathering in 2021with a Lasagna Dinner on Saturday March 14th at 5:30in the Fellowship Hall. St. Mary Church Mardi Gras Night at the Races: Gather your family and friends for our Mardi Gras Night at the Races event on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 5-11pm, at Saint Mary Hedge Hall. Pancake Supper: A Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 2871 Barndt Road at the corner of Sumneytown Pike, Upper Salford. The

Gwynedd Square Presbyteri­an Church: Concert by singer songwriter Jason

Gray on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 7:00at the church. Jason Gray is an American Contempora­ry Christian singer songwriter. He bridges the gap between inward thinking and contempora­ry folk and hookminded pop adding his own spiritual perspectiv­e to the mix. He has released a number of CD’s with his most recent ones, Order (EP) and Disorder (EP). Tickets go on sale on Saturday, February 15th through Eventbrite.com. Cost of the tickets is $20.00 for General Admission and $30.00for a limited number of VIP tickets which include a Meet and Greet Jason Gray prior to the concert.

St. John’s UCC: The Children’s Choir at St. John’s United Church of Christ will sing “Come, Celebrate God’s Gift of Music” by Mark Patterson at the 10:15am service on February 23. In addition, the Chancel Choir
