Temple University’s athletic department announced a Ticket Assurance Plan for home football games at Lincoln Financial Field for the 2020 season, according to a statement released Wednesday.

The athletic department has put several options in place if games are canceled, postponed or played with restricted fan access that prevents a ticket from being used. The season ticket holder will have the following choices for games that are impacted:

Receive a full refund for impacted games.

Receive 100 percent credit to your account for future ticket purchases.

Transfer the balance to the Owl Club to support Temple student-athlete initiatives as a 100 percent tax-deductible donation. You may designate a specific team(s) to receive your donation.

A tax receipt can be provided as long as there is no benefit received related to ticket, the statement said.

“We truly appreciate the continued loyalty and support of our season ticket holders,” Senior Associate Athletic Director of External Operations Scott Walcoff said in the statement. “Given today’s climate, it’s extremely important for our season ticket holders to feel comfortable with their ticket purchase and for us as an Athletic Department to earn their trust by doing the right thing if the upcoming season is impacted in any way due to COVID-19.”

The Owls went 8-5 under first-year coach Rod Cary last season and played in the Military Bowl, the fifth straight bowl appearance. Receiver Jadan Blue, quarterback Anthony Russo and running back Re’Mahn Davis are among the key offensive returnees for the Owls. Blue caught 95 passes for 1,067 yards to become the career leader in both categories.

Temple had four players taken in the 2020 NFL Draft and had four more sign with NFL teams as undrafted free agents. The Owls are slated to open the season at Miami on Sept. 5. The first home game is against Idaho on Sept. 12.

Temple also has agreed to a four-year home-andhome series with former AAC member Connecticut starting in 2024.

The Owls will visit Pratt & Whitney Stadium on Oct. 5, 2024 and Sept. 4, 2027, and host the Huskies at the Linc on Oct. 10, 2026 and Sept. 30, 2028. The Owls lead the all-time series, 14-6.

Connecticut left the AAC to return to the Big East in all sports but football. The Huskies will play as an independent in football.
