Opening weekend will include new safety initiatives and the debut of Candymonium, the newest roller coaster.
Hersheypark will once again welcome guests through its gates after the opening of the park was delayed several months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Officials said the park will open to the public on July 3, and season ticket holders can get in July 1 and 2.
“On behalf of the entire team at Hersheypark, we can’t wait to kick off our 114th season with familiar favorites and exciting additions like Candymonium,” said Vikki Hultquist, Hersheypark general manager, in a press release. “As we prepare to welcome guests back to our clean and green destination for family fun, we want them to know that their health and safety has been and always will be our top priority at Hersheypark.”
To kick off opening weekend, Hersheypark will debut its newest roller coaster Candymonium. It is the tallest, faster and longest coaster at the park and features a maximum height of 210 feet, a max speed of 76 mph and a track length of 4,636 feet.
The park has also implemented a variety of new safety initiatives to create a fun and safe environment during the coronavirus pandemic, the press release said.

The new safety guidelines are detailed at www. Hersheypark.com/safety and include increased cleaning and sanitization, a guest reservations system that will allow the park to follow state guidelines on capacity and allow guests to better plan their visit in advance, social distancing and face coverings and temperature screenings.
Several other Hershey Entertainment and Resort properties are scheduled to open in the coming weeks as well.
ZooAmerica will open to the public June 22, and annual pass holders can visit June 19. Zoo Annual Pass holders and Hersheypark Season Pass holders on June 20 and 21.
The Spa At The Hotel Hershey and MeltSpa by Hershey day spa will open June 19.
