Blessing of Animals

Grace United Methodist Church,

295 S. Main St., Telford, will conduct a driveby Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, Oct. 3, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The blessing will be in the church parking lot, enter on East Reliance Road. Donations are optional and will go to local pet adoption agencies. The Church of the Holy Spirit (Episcopal), 2871 Barndt Road at the corner of Sumneytown Pike, Upper Salford. On Sunday, Oct. 4, at 4 p.m. a Blessing of the Animals service will be held outdoors, weather permitting. All animals must be on leashes or in cages. Photos may be sent to the church for a Blessing of the Animals at the 10:15 a.m. online service. The services are led by the Rev. Kathy Andonian, Rector, assisted by staff, parish and choir members. Chime concerts

St. John’s United Church of Christ:

Andrew Paulson, Minister of Music at St. John’s United Church of Christ, will be playing the chimes every Wednesday at noon for a half hour. St. John’s United Church of Christ,

500 W. Main St., Lansdale, invites all members and friends to join them on the church grounds September 20, to begin Celebratio­n Sunday and kickoff the new Church Year whose theme is “Journeying In Faith, Through Thick and Thin”. Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be several events outdoors between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. Greet David Furniss, St. John’s Minister of Music for 33 years and congratula­te him on his retirement; pick up a special take-home goodie from the Board of Educators; visit the raffle basket tent to purchase tickets for the 1:30 pm drawing; and pickup a “carry out” filled with items to participat­e in the Carry-Out Connection­s Sunday School program. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church,

211 S. Main St. North Wales, celebrates the 16th Sunday after Pentecost with an outdoor service at 10 a.m. in the shaded side yard, corner of Main and Church. We will gather and behave like good responsibl­e citizens, bringing our masks, our own lawn chairs (BYOC) and staying the suggested 6 feet apart from each other, unless you are sitting next to a family member. Plenty of off street parking and handicappe­d accessible. We have individual communion kits that people can pick up at the beginning of the service. You don’t need a reservatio­n. Just come. If the weather brings rain or thundersto­rms we will cancel. Check your email or call the office if in doubt. At the same time we continue our internet church services.
