Montco results: Biden outpaces Trump in voting
LANSDALE » More than 18 hours after the polls closed on Election Day, ballots continue being counted throughout the day Wednesday in Montgomery County.
As of 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Montgomery County votes show the “unofficial results” of the presidential election race so far as 286,976 votes for Former Vice President and Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden, 173,004 votes for President Donald Trump, a Republican, and 4,574 votes for Libertarian Candidate Jo Jorgensen, according to the Montgomery County election resources webpage.
There were 609,250 registered voters in Montgomery County, and a 73.96 percent voter turnout rate, according to the county’s elections resources webpage.
As of 4:45 p.m., there were 508,442 total ballots received and 467,709 total ballots counted, according to the county’s election resources webpage.
With respect to the election’s in-person component, all 431 precincts in Montgomery County were reported as of 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the county resources webpage.
As of 4:45 p.m., 243,408 mail-in ballots were received, and 202,675 mailin ballots have been tabulated so far, which represents 83.26 percent of the counted mail-in ballots, according to the county’s election resources webpage. Mail-in ballots can be accepted until 5 p.m. on Thursday.
