Panel discussion to examine impact on women’s health

Event hosted by Victim Services Center in Norristown

NORRISTOWN >> The public is invited to “Health issues and the COVID-19 Pandemic: Impact on Women” on Wednesday, April 21, at 6 p.m.

“Women’s needs are often overlooked in our society, especially with respect to health concerns like the COVID-19 pandemic,” said event organizer Attorney Samantha Kats, co-chair of the Victim Services Center Endowment Committee.

“We are looking forward to a robust discussion of health concerns, health disparities, and, in particular, the impact of the Pandemic on Black women and people of color,” said Attorney Carrie Gish, event organizer and co-chair of the VSC Endowment Committee.

Speakers

Stephanie Felder is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor at FitFaith Life.

Ahmara Ross, MD, PhD., is an assistant professor of Ophthalmology and Neurology at Penn Medicine

Olena Korsun, RN, BSN, LPC, is a psychiatric nurse at Fairmount Behavioral Health.
