Weston Solutions completes leadership team
Company names Steve Kuhr as chief financial officer
WEST WHITELAND » Weston Solutions Inc., a Chester Countybased environmental and infrastructure support services firm has completed the selection of a new leadership team.
The company has named Steven H. Kuhr, CPA as senior vice president and chief financial officer. His appointment was effective Nov. 8, allowing for a two month transition before assuming the position Jan. 1, 2022.
Kuhr’s appointment is the last of the executive changes, according to the company — part of a leadership transition that began in June. The new team will lead the company following year-end retirements of Alan Solow, current president and CEO; Vincent A. Laino Jr. chief financial officer; and Pat TaylorWoodyard, chief strategy officer.
Kuhr will report to newly appointed CEO, Lawrence Bove and will assume the CFO role from Laino. While he is retiring as CFO, Laino will retain his seat on Weston’s board as an outside director.
Prior to joining Weston, Kuhr held the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer at EA Engineering, Science, & Technology, an environmental services organization. With 28 years of experience, Kuhr spent the last 20 years in leadership and executive roles in the environmental industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Seton Hall University and a master’s degree in management of technology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Bove said Kuhr’s extensive experience in finance and technology and his “track-record of achieving results complements” Weston’s “performance-oriented culture and growth trajectory.”
Weston Solutions is a U.S.based, 100% employee-owned environmental and infrastructure support services firm. In June, Bove was named president and
CEO, effective at the beginning of 2022. He replaces Solow, who upon his retirement as CEO, will assume the role as chairman of the board. Bove had been serving as chief operating officer of the company.
In August, Kara Fields was named chief operating officer for the company, replacing Bove in that position. Also in August, Matthew Beatty, was named chief strategy officer, replacing Pat Taylor-Woodyard in that position.
Weston Solutions Inc. is headquartered in West Whiteland, Chester County. The company operates across 32 states from 25 core offices, project offices and remote work assignments, with more than 1,000 employees.
